Restorative Services

Prothodontics

Why do I need Prothodontics?

To replace missing teeth - There are fixed or removable prosthetics. Prosthetics restore the bite to aid in chewing and maintain the position of teeth. Prosthetics also restores aesthetics.

• Partials

Partials are mainly used to restore missing teeth in the posterior of the mouth in situations where bridges are impractical or impossible. Partials are made with a metal base (either gold or vitallium) which rests on the existing teeth in the mouth. Denture teeth are then added to the partial to replace missing teeth in the mouth. 3-4 appointments are necessary to complete this procedure.

• Bridges

Bridges are recommended in situations of missing teeth where there are teeth on either side of the missing tooth. These can replace 1-6 missing teeth and are constructed of gold or porcelain. A bridge can usually be completed in two office visits.

• Dentures

To restore the endentulous jaw - (no teeth), your personal comments are necessary to reach your desired aesthetic appearance. 3-4 appointments are necessary to complete the denture process.

• Orthodontia

Braces needed to correct alignment and/or to restore bite and aesthetics.
